Class of 2026

Detroit Leadership Academy's Class of 2026 continues to demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and college readiness. This year, 95% of seniors graduated, while 41% of the graduating class completed the FAFSA, taking an important step toward higher education opportunities.

To date, the Class of 2026 has earned approximately $1.7 million in scholarships and grants, reflecting the hard work and dedication of our students. Additionally, 70% of graduates have already secured a postsecondary pathway, including enrollment in colleges and universities, skilled trades training programs, or direct entry into the workforce.

Through our partnership with Lawrence Technological University, students are also gaining a head start on their college journeys. Nine graduating seniors earned between 6 and 12 college credits through dual enrollment, while 11 juniors successfully completed college coursework during the spring semester.

We are especially proud to recognize Valedictorian Shaniya Moore, who will attend Ferris State University, and Salutatorian Janiya Jackson, who will attend Saginaw Valley State University.

Congratulations to the DLA Class of 2026 for their remarkable accomplishments. We look forward to seeing all they achieve as they continue their educational and career journeys.
